Bahrs Scrub is an urban locality in the City of Logan, Queensland, 40 km south of Brisbane and 6 km southwest of Beenleigh. The name possibly derives from German settler Carl Wilhelm Bahr (born 1840) or his son Wilhelm. Until recently a sparsely populated area with hills, heavy vegetation and acreage properties, the suburb has experienced strong residential growth following Logan City Council rezoning. The main development is Brookhaven by Frasers Property, planned for 10,000 residents. In the 2021 census, Bahrs Scrub had a population of 4,508 people with a median age of 29, well below the national median.
